NOMINATION AND INDUCTION PROCESS
Objective: Recognize individuals for outstanding, extended, and extensive accomplishment in playing handball, or having provided dedicated service to the enhancement, continuation, and proliferation of the game of handball, in the State of Ohio.
Nomination
1.An individual may be nominated for induction into the Ohio Handball Hall of Fame (OHHoF) in either one of two categories: as a Player or as a Contributor, but not both.
a.Minimum accomplishments in either category to warrant inclusion into the Ohio Handball Hall of Fame:
i.Player
1.Must have an extended career with many extensive and exemplary achievements
2.Must have participated in and won many State and/or Regional and/or National Singles or Doubles titles over the length of his/her career
3.Must be at least 50 years old
4.Must be a current resident or have been a resident of Ohio for a significant portion of the time during the accomplishments being considered for induction.
5.Must have significant Athletic Achievement as a handball player.
ii.Contributor
1.Must have an extended career with many extensive and exemplary achievements
2.Must have provided outstanding and unselfish service and benefit to the game of handball
3.Must be at least 50 years old
4.Must be a current resident or have been a resident of Ohio for a significant portion of the time during the accomplishments being considered for induction.
2.Documentation for Nominations must be submitted by any individual or group having residence in the state of Ohio.Documentation must be submitted in writing and include the resume of the individual being nominated as well as 3 personal recommendations, by either current OHHoF inductees or distinguished members of the Ohio handball community.
3.Nominations are submitted to the President of the Ohio Handball Association at any time during the year.
4.The President presents any nomination to the board and the review committee when he/she has all of the required materials in writing.
5.Nominations may only be approved for induction by a majority vote of the Board based on the recommendation of the review committee.
Note: typically each major metropolitan area of the state oversees the nomination of individuals from that area; however, anyone may nominate anyone from another area per the guidelines established herein.

Induction
1.Induction is recognized as official when listed by the OHA on their published list of Hall of Fame Members.
2.Ceremonies may occur at any time or place preferred by the nominating person or group or nominee, subsequent to the OHA Board vote.
Note: The OHA Board reserves the right to deny induction or remove anyone from the HoF given any significant unfavorable events in the inductees conduct, either in the handball community or community at large, as solely determined and voted on by a majority of the OHA Board.
